Q. Can I connect the PDP Adapter while my smartphone is in a case?
If the PDP Adapter does not fit properly due to the smartphone case, we recommend using a USB-C extension cable or removing the case before connecting.
Q. Can I connect my Nintendo Switch to a monitor using the PDP Adapter without the dock?
No, the PDP Adapter does not support the Nintendo Switch dock function, so it cannot be used as a replacement for the official dock.
Q. The PDP Adapter gets warm during use. Is this a problem?
No, the PDP Adapter is designed to stay within the temperature limits set by IEC 62368-1, the international safety standard for audio, video, information, and communication technology equipment. There are no safety concerns regarding heat generation.
Q. Can I connect an AC adapter to a Power Delivery-compatible display via the PDP Adapter?
Even if you connect an AC adapter to a Power Delivery-compatible display using the PDP Adapter, charging speed will not increase.
For such displays, we recommend connecting directly via a USB-C cable instead of using the PDP Adapter.
Q. Can I use Hi-Speed USB (USB 2.0) devices or USB 2.0 Type-C™ cables?
No, Hi-Speed USB (USB 2.0) devices and USB 2.0 Type-C™ cables are not supported.
Please use the USB cable included with your device or a USB Type-C® (USB 3.0) cable that supports Power Delivery.
Q. My device is not charging or is charging slowly. What should I do?
- The PDP Adapter only supports Power Delivery-compatible AC adapters. It does not work with standard AC adapters, so please ensure you are using a PD-certified charger.
- The PDP Adapter reserves about 18W for its own operation and for the connected device. Therefore, the maximum power output of PD & DP USB-C Adapter minus about 18W is supplied to the host device. If charging is slow or does not occur, use a higher power PD adapter. Please note that USB cables also have a maximum power value standard, and that a cable with e-Marker is required to use a 100W PD adapter at its maximum value.
