Nextorage Corporation (President: Katsuyuki Honda, Kawasaki City, Kanagawa, Japan) will begin selling the AtomX SSDmini “NPS-AS2TB” at B&H in late October.
The NPS-AS series is a compact form factor SSD designed specifically for ATOMOS recorders.
The NPS-AS2TB is a 2,000 GB high-capacity model designed to meet the needs of users who record for long hours at high image quality.
Consistent and Fast Performance
With a read speed of 550 MB/s[1] and write speed of 500 MB/s[1], the NPS-AS Sseries delivers consistent performance, and is certified to record in all codecs supported by ATOMOS recorders, so you can shoot in the highest grade video and RAW formats without losing frames. The NINJA V+ can record up to 8Kp30, 5Kp60, and 4Kp120; the NINJA V can record up to 30p ProRes RAW HQ 6K, 4Kp60 and 2Kp240.
Reliable Strength Design and Heat Dissipation Performance
Just as the 1,000 GB and 500 GB models, the NPS-AS2TB has a rugged die-cast aluminum exterior that has passed the toughest tests of heat dissipation and drops. The connector, tested over 3,000 times and more durable than standard SATA connectors, along with the enclosure’s shock resistance of up to 1,500 G/0.5 ms, demonstrates its reliability in various use cases.
Compatibility
The NPS-AS series is the only AtomX SSDmini certified by the ATOMOS verification lab, and it also features a built-in SATA III connector, making it compatible with all ATOMOS monitor recorders. To use it with SUMO 19, AtomX CAST, or SHOGUN STUDIO 2, you simply screw the AtomX SSDmini handle into the NPS-AS series body. Once the handle is attached, you can easily insert and remove the drive without the need for a Master Caddy II.
